"Gerard Edery, a master of Sephardic
song, turns Adina Ruskin's verses
into a rich mixture of Latin American musical genres... The ability to combine
Ms. Ruskin's lyrics and the emotional
expressions into a single human outcry is
remarkable..."

Gerard Edery has joined forces with Noa
Ain to create "Song of the Turtledove," a
musical theater work based on the Biblical
Song of Songs. "Turtledove" is performed in
a romantic, world music style and mixes the
exotic Arabic/Flamenco/Sephardic sound of
The Gerard Edery Ensemble with the more
Classical/Jazz flavor of Noa Ain's music. |
